Maureen Giffin

Maureen Giffin was born in Boston and has lived in Maine for more than 35 years. She brings decades of professional experience as a Registered Nurse, having worked at Blue Hill Hospital, Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, MDI Hospital, and in Hospice and Homecare throughout the region.
Maureen has a strong commitment to community service and environmental stewardship, shaped by years of caring for individuals and families and by her deep connection to Maine’s natural resources. She is particularly dedicated to protecting water quality, preserving wildlife habitat, and supporting thoughtful, well-informed approaches to longterm watershed management.
Maureen lives on Toddy Pond with her husband, Rob. They met on a Maine Maritime Academy cruise, where Maureen was serving as the ship’s nurse - a Maine story she still smiles about. Living on Toddy Pond has strengthened her dedication to safeguarding the lake for current and future generations, and she is proud to serve on the Toddy Pond Association Board.
